Blues for Ulster

Saturday, February 18th, 2012

Another defeat for Ulster in the Pro 12 series going down 21-14 to the Cardiff Blues last night. Ulster led 8-0 at one stage with a try from  Robbie Diack and a penalty from Ruan Pienaar but penalties from Dan Parks kept the home side in touch. In the second half Parks stepped up with a try as did Tom James and Ulster could never quite recover after that. The home deserved the win and although Ulster will be disappointed I know we all feel there are bigger fish to fry further down the road.

City Finish on a High

It has to be one of the most dramatic finishes ever in the history of the Premiership. With minutes left City looked to have blown it and United looked to be on their way to glory. They led Sunderland 1-0 away from home as City struggled 2-1 at home to QPR. And then came a crazy five minutes. After incredible work by QPR and their keeper Kenny first Dzeko stole in for the equaliser and then in the dying seconds Aguero pounced  for the winner and the clincher for the title.
