Jose Mourinho has been shown the door at Real Madrid and the chances are he will end up back at Chelsea. Mourinho has three years of his contract still to run at Madrid but they decided enough was enough after one of the worst seasons in the history of the club.
They lost the La Liga title to Barcelona, were dumped out of the Champions League at the semi final for the third year in a row and last weekend they lost the Copa del Rey final to neighbours Athletico 2-1. To make matters worse Ronaldo was sent off in that game and so too was Mourinho.
In his three years he won a league title and a cup but all in all it was a failure in Madrid. Only last month he hinted that perhaps English football was the place for him as he wanted to be loved and he knew of at least one club that did. That club is Chelsea. Former Northern Ireland defender Stephen Craigan is the new Northern Ireland Under 19 manager. He takes over from Stephen Robinson who stays on as Under 21 boss. Craigan was his assistant for a time and his first games in charge will be the European qualifiers in Belgium against France and Iceland. Cragian was a very popular player for Northern Ireland and during a superb career he won 54 caps.

Celtic were crowned champions of the Scottish League after a 4-1 win over Inverness to give them the title for the 44th time. In a league without their great rivals Rangers they had six draws and six defeats. It was hardly glory days.
Celtic of course are still in with a chance of the double when they take on Hibs in the Cup final but their points tally this year in the SPL is certain to be their lowest ever in winning. Perhaps that says it all.Read more >>
